Home Remedies For Chalazion

Eyelid cysts (chalazion) are small lumps that occur on the top of the eyelids due to blockage of oil glands. The swellings are not communicable. If the swelling becomes bigger, it might be painful, and sometimes the inflammation becomes red and itchy. Here are few remedies that can effectively cure eyelid cyst.

Hot Compress

Hot compress is one of the best home remedies for chalazion and also for all kinds of inflammation. Dip a clean cloth in hot water and squeeze the cloth and give your eyelids hot compress for about 5-10 minutes repeatedly for 3-4 times a day.

Guava Leaves


Guava leaves are the best natural medicine for chalazion. Take some fresh guava leaves and heat them a little and put them into the boiling water for 5-10minutes. Place the warm leaf on your eyelids and place the damp cloth on your eyelids (a cloth immersed and squeezed in the water used boil guava water). Replace the leave when it is cooled down. Repeat the remedy twice daily for best result and also to get rid of eyelid cyst easily.

Apple Cider Vinegar


ACV is well known to cut down the inflammation and also to combat the germs causing infection. Dilute ACV with an equal amount of water and apply it on your eyelids several times daily and also consume some a tablespoon of ACV mixed in a glass of water for few days to alleviate the swellings effectively.



Turmeric’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can alleviate the swellings and also the itchiness and pain accompanied with it. Wash your eyelids with warm water and prepare a paste with castor oil and turmeric. Apply this oil on your eyelids for about 15-20 minutes and then wash it off only with warm water.
